Kutani ware is high quality Japanese porcelain, with a history of over 350 years.
It is produced in the cities of Kanazawa, Kaga, Komatsu, and Nomi in southern Ishikawa Prefecture.
The characteristic of Kutani ware is the colorful and gorgeous overglaze painting using “five colors – blue (green), yellow, red, purple, dark blue”.
